FAQs

How many followers are required to sign up as a Creator?

We are launching the FlipStak pilot in December. Anyone with 1,000 followers or more on a single social media profile may sign up as a Creator. As the platform evolves, this requirement may change.

How do I earn money as a Creator?

Creators earn through monthly subscriptions, group memberships, individual and group classes, video calls, and tips.

How do I get paid?

You must have a Paypal account to receive payments directly from your followers. Transactions occur directly between you and your followers. FlipStak receives a 5% fee for facilitating the membership subscription transactions and 10% for non-subscription transactions.

How old do I need to be?

You must be 18 years or older. Identity verification for Creators will be processed by an independent third party. FlipStak does not store personal government documents.

I am not a Creator. Can I use FlipStak?

Yes. The best way to join FlipStak is by receiving an invitation from a Creator. Invitations automatically connect Creators with their followers. Ask a Creator you follow on another social platform if they can send you a FlipStak invite.

What is the content format on FlipStak?

FlipStak supports most forms of video content, including live streams, video conferences, and short-form videos.

Can you explain in more detail?

Yes. If you create Reels on Instagram, you can make similar videos on FlipStak. If you enjoy Stories, we’re raising the bar for Stories here. If you use YouTube to stream or create Shorts, welcome to the FlipStak way. And if you’re a business networker or professional who uses Zoom, try FlipStak Cast—where you can host group calls, 1-on-1 sessions, share your screen, record calls, and save or share those recordings with your network.

Are there content restrictions on FlipStak?

Yes. FlipStak allows Safe-For-Work (SFW) content only. If a reasonable, state of mind coworker would find your content offensive, it is likely not acceptable on FlipStak and may be removed. The classic rule applies: three strikes and you’re out.

What else can I do on FlipStak?

FlipStak is built around relativity. As a Creator, your content is relative to your followers. As a follower, the stories Creators share relate to your interests. This is why we’ve built Communities and Groups—to help both Creators and followers discover more relevant content.

How do communities and groups work in FlipStak?

Great question. There are many ways for Creators and followers to connect. Unlike Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube, FlipStak organizes people around communities of interest and groups of interest. Creators can restrict content to members of a specific community or group, creating a more connected, meaningful relationship between Creators and their followers.
